CFUW 100th Anniversary Indigenous Scholarship

Awarded to an Indigenous student who is accepted into the Education program at Bishop’s University.

Eligibility requirements:  demonstrates financial need with preference given to the applicant who has not received funding from their band council or education centre.  The successful applicant must be Indigenous (Status, non-Status, Métis or Inuit), have a demonstrated commitment to education and a desire to return to their local community as well as a record of community involvement either at the University or their local community.  This scholarship is renewable (maximum 3 years).  Value:  $1,000

Application deadline: November 1.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
  • Full-time student
  • Proof of enrolment in Education Program at Bishops University
  • Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
  • Indigenous (Status, non-Status, Métis or Inuit)
  • Financial need
The following documentation will be required to complete the form. These documents can be scans or clear high quality photos:
  1. Copy of latest transcript
  2. Two signed letters of reference from a teacher or employer attesting to your potential to work in your chosen field.
    Note: This document can be sent directly via email to the foundation from the teacher or employer. This document may also be mailed via Canada Post directly to the Lampe Foundation. The address is on the form.
  3. Proof of Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident Status.
  4. Proof of acceptance in the Education Program at Bishops University
  5. Proof of indigenous heritage

This award is contingent upon the applicant providing proof of registration and remaining in the Education Program at Bishops University.
