Melissa Bowman-Pieters Athletic Scholarship

The Melissa Bowman-Pieters Athletic Scholarship is destined for a young student athlete from the Eastern Townships who is pursuing their post-secondary education (CEGEP or University) and has a passion for varsity sports.

This scholarship was founded in memory of Melissa Bowman-Pieters, who loved sports from an early age and was an accomplished member of her varsity soccer teams at the CEGEP and university levels as well as playing provincially.

To honour Melissa’s memory, this scholarship will be awarded to a student, currently enrolled in a CEGEP or university program who is passionate about sports and is a member of a varsity team.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Full-time student currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in Quebec (CEGEP or university)
Student Athlete & member of a varsity team
Canadian citizen or permanent resident
Resident of the Eastern Townships for at least 3 years
Financial Need
Community Involvement
Bilingualism is an asset

Two (2) letters of reference, one from a teacher and one from a coach/member of the athletic department
Note: This document can be sent directly via email to the foundation from the teacher or coach. This document may also be mailed via Canada Post directly to the Lampe Foundation. The address is on the form.

This award is contingent upon the applicant providing proof of registration and remaining in an accredited post-secondary program.

Decisions of the Scholarship Selection Committee are final.
